DEFINING LIFE FOR YOURSELF

It always amazes me how many people tend to believe that they cannot achieve the important things in their lives. In general, that type of belief comes from external programming that with time ends up becoming conditioning and, finally, a belief.

Fortunately, as the natural human tendency dictates, many evolve from those patterns and chose to live life more spontaneously.

If people were to continually believe in their limitations, they would be sadly giving up on having a very exciting life.

In my world these days, one of the fun things that have happened is my recent conquering the title of “Summer Girl San Diego 2010.” The event happened on an evening filled with excitement, joy, smiles, reconnecting, laughter, music, new friends, and festivity. As I observed the candidates that were, along with me, chasing the title I clearly saw that any of them could take it home. So, there we went… in a spirit of fun, joy, and excitement we walked on stage, did the best we could, and had a great time. At the end, the judges voted and the public cheered for the one who they thought did the best performance… and the dance, laughter, and joy continued into the night.

The reason why I wanted to share this with you is to give you a small example of how opening up to the possibilities that are nagging their tail right in front of your eyes can lead you to live an incredibly exciting life.

It is important to challenge your beliefs. Especially when those beliefs limit you and get in the way of you being, doing, and having more in your life than you did yesterday.

When you open up your mind and your heart by default many doors open up in front of you.

The Summer Girl contest wasn’t as big as the Miss Brasil USA contests but it sure added more excitement and good memories to my life.

It is your choice to believe in having an awesome life.

What do you want to believe in? What do you want to see yourself create in your life?
